THE PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN WISHES SUCCESS

 “We have signed under many significant achievements in cycling by strengthening our country’s infrastructure, popularizing different sports’ branches and hosting international organizations. The Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey which was first initiated in 1963 with the Marmara Tour soon to become an international event in 1965, continues its course under “Pro-Series” category as a result of these efforts. We see that recognition, number of participants and prestige of the organization, characterized as the only “inter-continental cycling tour” of the world, have gradually increased. However, in 2020, we were unable to organize the 56th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, just as many other international sports activities, due to the outbreak of the global coronavirus pandemic. 

This year, the tour will commence in Nevşehir on the 11th of April and finish in Kuşadası on the 18th of April. I welcome all sports people, country representatives, teams which will participate in this significant sports organization to be conducted under the auspices of our country, and I wish them all success in advance.
